When I bought my 30-1, I found a few 160s (165?) on board. The PO apparently thought it was worth the 3sec/mi penalty to fly the bigger jib.I remember when I had my SJ 24, many took the hit and flew 170s because the swept back spreaders wouldn't allow the 155 to sheet as close as the 170.Can't figure out the reasoning for the 160 on my C&C.Would love to hear what Cutter did.RonWild CheriC&C 30STL

He raced a 30-2 on the Chesapeake. He may still be monitoring this list. If not, I can provide his email off-list. In a general sense, we are wondering what fits the 30-2, and would love to find any other owners who race. The previous owner of our boat never flew anything bigger than a 135 because thought that the boat did not handle well with anything bigger. Then again with a roller furling, it seems like bigger is better, at least to 155%, you can always reef. Jim
