Obviously financial pressures took over here.  If you look at their FB
postings from Oct 25, it was clear that they knew about the storm before
heading out.

Would the boat have been wrecked had they stayed in New London? Maybe...
but if they'd used the last few days to secure the boat rather than sail
head first into the shit, then maybe things would have turned out much
better than they did.
