Subject: Stus-List Repair/Replace Framed Windows

I have started a project to renew the windows on my 1976 C&C 38. The current 
cabin windows are the original aluminum frame windows and are fogged and leaky. 
I'm debating between repairing with new gaskets and acrylic or just replacing 
with lewmar portlights. The lewmar's would be slightly larger but I don't think 
enlarging the current opening would present any problems and I like the idea of 
opening windows,but are a good deal more expensive, about 1 boat buck extra. 
The current frames look decent but are 36 years old and the Al is getting 
pretty brittle. Looking for comments.
