I think I posted that ad a while ago. With "fair" sails you can assume you'll need new ones and the engine would still be in the boat if it ran - otherwise why remove it. So - $1500-2500 for a decent used engine or repair of the existing one. Likely that again for sails, depending on your Bacon's scrounging ability. Ignoring the interior for the moment, you are going to be into this boat for $4-6K and some of your time. OTOH you might get the boat for half the asking price, find the sails serviceable, and get the engine sorted for under $2K. I got my current engine from ship's chief engineer who wanted a hobby and rebuilt a used engine. He put it on Craigslist for $1500 and I bought it an hour or so later.
