Hi russ, Yea I did read about standard horizon during my research on chartplotters ann there was a lot of negativity in regard to their customer service. IIRC, the general consensus was, standard horizon had pretty good stuff but lacked in support.

I had a Standard Horizon radio display "go wonkie" on it's third power-up. I asked for a replacement radio since it was obvious to me, a lemon. Unfortunately the third use was past the 30 exchange period WTF? and although everyone was "Oh, too bad, that should not happen." Nothing Happened. I will not buy electronics through Binnacle again and now I'm also wary of Standard Horizon (and I thought Lowrance was bad). So, Pete. Thanks for the warning.
