The Canadain Tire deep cycle batteries are Exide.
I have had better luck with them than you.
Same for the Interstate deep cycle.
5-6 years when not mis-treated.

I have a couple of AGM batteries at the moment (Optima) and I am only so-so
happy with them.

A friend with an RV (similar use to a boat, but somewhat different) swears by
the Costco deep cycle batteries; they are reasonably
priced, have a decent warranty and last fairly long (in his case about 5 years
of RV use).

This may not apply, but I would steer away from any Canadian Tire batteries,
especially the deep cycle and marine type. The one I
had lasted 13 months (just beyond the free replacement) and it was prorated, so
I spent almost the same on the new (replacement)
as I would for a new one at Costco. The second died even sooner (just under a
year).
