fume detectors are amust and should be installed in relation what fumes are seeking protection from propane near lower levels ...carbon monoxide higher as these fumes rise while propane drops....with carbon detectors one for each living area...have unfortunately seen loss of a family of 4 humans plus dog when closed down below in bad weather & helmsman on deck trying to keep motoring to home port...cannot see hear or smell fumes just get sleepy ...some insurance company inspections now require proper carbon ...propane monitors.
