Neil, when they check the rig, make sure they inspect the tie bars that go thru the mast that the rod ends connect to. If those rod ends don't move freely, the rod ends up having a coat hanger effect. Ie, bend it too many times, and it breaks. Ouch!
Tom Anderson C&C 32 Nonpareil Marblehead, MA PS And for reasons of what happened to Neil is why is ALWAYS check the jack stands of boats either side of me from time to time. You cannot believe how loose I have found some! Neil FoxFire, 1982 C&C 32 Worton Creek, MD ps ? Got a sad call last week from BoatUS. Apparently the boat next to me fell over onto my boat (insured by BoatUS) so they called me. Marina ? not a word. I am also BoatUS and since the other boat fell across my head stay and damaged at least the roller furling foil, they are going to cover an inspection of the rod rigging. 2 points BoatUS, 0 points marina (they hadn?t sued the proper number of stands under the other boat. _______________________________________________ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album http://www.cncphotoalbum.com CnC-List@cnc-list.com
