Gee, Wal

You got me reminiscing about my first monohull, an Oday 27. I kept
"Steinlocker" for 8 years, even sailed it a few months after I purchased
"Touche'" since "Touche'" was undergoing a lot of work including pulling
the engine.

A few months after I bought "Steinlocker", an article appeared in a now
defunct local sailing magazine about a sistership. A guy who had dreams of
sailing his outboard equipped Oday 27, "Quest" from Lake Pontchartrain to
Scandinavia or someplace got into a storm a few miles out of the lake and
washed up on the Chandeleur Islands.

Anyway, I Googled "Oday 27" for images and was looking at pictures of Oday
27's just for grins when I found the 1991 article on "Quest". Sounds like
a sailor ill-prepared for what he ran into.
