I have one for the head and one for the hanging locker, both set to exhaust.
You are trying aid natural ventilation which is in from the
companionway and moving forward through the boat IF you are on a
mooring or bow towards the prevailing breeze. (assuming hatches
normally closed for weather & insecurity issues)

the front of the boat blowing air in and one toward stye beck blowing air out.
