Martin — my boat is late 70’s, not early; and the dorades are mounted to the deck with short “L”-shaped pieces of aluminum angle screwed into the interior box sides, then screws down through the deck. Does that help? My boat wasn’t done at the custom yard, so your mileage may vary...
