I had enough of this and installed a Tides Marine Mast Track system on
Honey's mast a few years ago. Would suggest that you try the McLube route
before unstepping the rig or spending a bunch of boat bucks for a Tides
Marine System

Are moving FR back to Savannah any time soon?
