Hi Joel,
Re: Seat / ramp:

I tried to create something that is strong, yet light enough to carry, will
last, and be maintenance free, and has a permanent place aboard, yet looks OEM.

Made the frame from two wooden 2 x 10s, 81 inches long. The deck is 3/8"
expanded PVC. The white hose is from Ace Hardware, is meant for pool plumbing.
All fasteners are stainless, hidden or buried and caulked over. The wood was
sealed/primed, and one coat of Brightside that matches the transom. The anti
skid tape is rubberized, so nice to sit on. The hose on each end has a slot,
that fits over an eyebolt on the dock and another on the boat. A simple wooden
dowel slips through the eye and secures the ramp. The dowel is grooved and
meant to break before damaging the dock or the boat.

I have some more finishing to do; adding more PVC pieces to cap the ends, and a
1/2 round goes under the outer edge of deck. I have a few solutions to support
the seat and secure it to the cockpit floor, but I haven't decided yet on the
final design. My wife wants a lifeline rigged, so I'm also mocking up ideas for
that.
