Fred:

First try blowing out any visible water. Then change the oil and filters. If
there's a chance that water got mixed with the gas, don't run it, as you'll
have a major job. Instead, dump the gas, put in new gas and oil mixture, and
give it a try. The sooner you run it the better. If water got into the
carburetor, running it probably won't do more harm than what has already been
done.

Through an unfortunate accident my 4 hp 2 cycle Suzuki went to the bottom of
the Columbia (fresh water) on Saturday. A diver is going to retrieve it
tomorrow.

Fortunately, the engine was not running at the time and the tank vent closed.

What are some of the things I should do to get it running again.
