On Calypso, built in 1970 at Bruckmann's, the deck balsa is nominally 1/2". When replacing failed balsa I have been purchasing 1/2" then sanding it down a little to leave room for epoxy and filler and the new epoxy/glass laminations.
If you remove a fastener in the general area of the deck you would be able to verify that C&C did not use different thicknesses in newer designs/builds.
