That was one of the FAQs at the Talalay website. Evidently the allergy is because of the rubber sap proteins which also get washed out of the foam during its manufacture. They also cite that the allergy typically requires direct contact with latex and since the foam is rarely if ever in direct contact, even if a small amount of the proteins remained, it would be extremely unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.
