Lorne, if by "1/4 berth" you mean aft cabin, my wife and I use standard double sheet sets from Ikea, which work very well. The berth is essentially rectangular and bigger than a double at the head, but since the cushions are not as deep as regular sheets, they fit fine. I would ask your wife to save her time and money or sew something more useful to you like hatch covers, etc.
If she wants a perfect fitting sheet she could modify a double. When are you taking delivery of this boat? Why is it still so far away?
