The cooling water system for Touche's air conditioner plugs a couple times
a year.  The strainer is always clean.  The pluggage is in the inlet
upstream of the strainer.  I have a tee in the cooling system and valves on
both ends.  By closing the valve on the discharge and pressuring the system
with dock water, I clear the plug by blowing it back out the inlet.

Your issue sounds similar.  Just blast it out with some dock water.  If you
need to, buy and install a female garden hose to correct size hose barb
fitting like this:

If you have a garden hose spray nozzle with male garden hose threads,
you're all set.
