Edd, Change your dilithium crystals! But seriously, lots of good advice, I would also consider a good quality multi meter that you can trust for accurate voltage. I have an Ideal digital multi meter that also measures AC & DC amps that you clamp on a single wire. It wasn't expensive and I use it everywhere. I guess I don't trust all the gadgets we have on board and some of the old equipment is non digital. You can use it for continuity and other diagnostics. Nigel Calder's book on marine electrical is worth a look if you don't have it. He simplifies it, my favourite tool is a hammer and vice grips run a close second! Len 89 37+ Crazy Legs Midland On.
