Inspired by the Thread That Can Not Be Named and an epic adventure on SA with a rogue trucker and a boat lost in transit among other things: If you ever buy and move a boat: 1. Be VERY clear about the point in time you own the boat and accept delivery. 2. Do a lot of duel diligence with the shipper, and then do it again. 3. Besides for making sure you have insurance coverage for the boat from day 1 of ownership, look into specific insurance for the shipment.
