RV'ers will know of this tape sealant product made by Dicor. https://dicorproducts.com/product/diseal-patch-sealing-tape/#specs I'm not suggesting this product as a permanent fix although it will last a while on top of RV's where the external surfaces need complete and total protection. I have this product covering the seams of my Lance truck camper.
If one were very handy with an exacto knife and cutting radii with a template, it might be pretty nice. If the offset (overlap) was uniform in the profile, it would almost look like an intended trim. Bill Dakin 25MKII
