When I did mine (same scenario) i used a wire tooth brush and a couple of red
scotch brite pads in my cordless drill. In the corners just the scotch brite
with thumb pressure. Fill in low spots, and sand smooth. Wipe everything down
with acetone. It helps to have spacers and a second pair of hands when
installing the Windows. Lay spacers on bottom edge of cutout and roll window
into place. The tape grabs instantaneously, so you get one shot at it. Once in
place press window against tape for a good bond. Tape edges and seal. I also
rounded the hidden edges for a better deal with the DC 495. Good luck. Only
took 4 tries to figure out how to do it.

Port replacement
When we get more than 2 days without rain I am going to replace the starboard
cabin port.
Question.  When I replaced the window about 8 years ago I use Sikaflex 295 and
their primer.  Now I am going to use 3 M tape and Dow 795. I am looking for
suggestions on how to remove the Sika products.
