Just for grins, make a nice fillet for the tabbing.  Grind back to virgin
glass or wood, mix some thickened epoxy, put an epoxy bead around the joint
then smooth it into a radius fillet with the backside of a plastic spoon.
Let it cure then tab it with some biaxial tape.

For the bead use a syringe or a plastic zip lock bag with a corner cut off
(think cake decorating).
