Sept 1st - We sailed 8 hours from Solomons to Crisfield, MD (the self
proclaimed blue crab capital of the world) for their annual Crab Derby and
Boat Docking contest. It was and easy ride at 5 to 6 kts boat speed and we
didn't have to tack for the entire 40 mile trip. Turns out the Trave
Channel was doing an episode of "The Booze Traveler". Pretty cool.
Sept 4th - Sailed back to Solomons. Expected to motor since the
predictions were 2 to 3 kts. About 10 miles in and the wind picked up
above 5kts and we sailed the remaining way home. Winds continued to build
up to 15kts which made it pretty exciting. Never had to tack on the way
home either.
