I have used that type of block for a tack line and they work great. I would suggest ratchet blocks for the asym sheets though. Ratchet blocks will hold part of the load making it a bit safer when taking the line off the winch in a gybe or when trimming and easing. I use harken blocks with dyneema loops on my 29-2 and they work great.
