Several years ago, I replaced the original W/C Head Mate with a Jabsco Manual head. I'm happy with the product. I chose Jabsco in part because several charters I have taken in the BVI, all the heads, both manual and electric were Jabsco's. An earlier posting on this site suggested the charter companies choice was directed by price. But I like to think that serviceability is a key element to Jabscos being used. It is one aspect of a charter which the company does not want to have to fix regularly or deal with customer complaints. Plus parts are available on Amazon.
