Good suggestion on the automatic, Len. It looks like a small automatic is actually less expensive than a small manual (at least what Defender sells). Now I have to figure out if there is a place to mount it inside the engine compartment. I have soundproofing material all around so taht presents a problem plus there is not much accessible mounting surface that is not occupied. I will report back on what I end up doing. Dave
