The Jabsco head has a small spring in the wet/dry lever mechanism. If it’s weak, you may experience resistance when pumping.
Like another lister said, replace the ENTIRE pump assembly. It’s $92 on Amazon. You’ll be happy. It’s a 20 minute job. Dennis C.
