(Correct me if I’m wrong, EDD) Talos IV is the plant that the crew of the original Enterprise visit in the original pilot for Star Trek.
Captain Pike (Before Kirk) and a landing party (which includes Spock in a supporting role but not as 1ST Officer) arrive in response to a distress signal. There are (apparent) human survivors of a crash. Pike is kidnapped by the Talosians, who use psychic powers to try to coerce Pike to become breeding stock (with the lone survivor and certain female members of the Enterprise crew) in creation of a race to repopulate the planet, and become servants for the Talosians. Pike escapes. That the lone survivor is horribly disfigured becomes apparent. In the end, the Talosians create a fantasy for the girl so she can love Pike after he leaves. In a later episode, Spock violates Federation law to return Admiral Pike (who is now also crippled and disfigured) to Talos so he can live in the fantasy world with the survivor he had grown to love.
