Looks right Charlie.

Easy to verify.  Pull the negative wire off the start battery and see what still works with the switch set to "on".  Engine shouldn't kick, lights should be fine.

Thanks to all who responded to my battery questions—this list is incredible!

Between the responses and some YouTube videos I ‘think’ I now understand my system, which was installed and recommended by a pretty smart boat mechanic.

I must still confirm that both the switch/acr/charger are wired properly but I now understand how the set-up works:

The acr does its thing automatically distributing charge from whatever source to the isolated start and house batteries—I get it.

The switch with only OFF/ON/COMBINE positions is left always in ON position which (this needs confirmed!) ALWAYS has batteries separated electrically. When I start the engine, current is drawn from the start battery only. When I turn on anything else on board, current is drawn from the house batteries only.

If something happens so that my start battery will not turn the engine over, I can switch to COMBINE and hopefully get it started using all batteries/hands on deck!

Following suggestions from listers (thanks again!), I will add a fused buss to the house bank with suitable connectors/fuses to hook-up the output of my solar MPPT and a portable emergency battery system in an attempt to thwart Murphy when he inevitably shows up!

PS: Feel free to point out any errors in the above. My knowledge of practical electricity is a lot wider than it is deep!
