Thanks to all who responded regarding my question about using a 'jump start' battery to get my diesel started in my ACR 2 battery bank battery set-up (start(1) and house batteries(2). Per the responders , the 'jump start' battery should be connected to the 'dead' starter battery AND the ACR can be left connected in the circuit. The ACR should not open to the start battery since it sees more voltage on the house bank. While Murphy might still cause problems, my $75 Lithium starter should be able to get my diesel started no matter the state of my battery banks. It effectively gives me a 3rd battery 'bank' so far as starting the engine is concerned. Plus, it is fits in the palm of my hand and weighs all of 2 lbs! Thanks to the responders and the list!
