Hi Alan- I have been careful not to let it run when vibrating as I have concerns about the cutlass bearing being damaged (not to mention the rest of the drive train). Last I checked, the cutlass bearing still seemed secure. But I am not sure what you mean by a “loose prop”. Do you mean the actual attachment to the shaft? I have never taken the Maxprop off, but it looks to me like it is bolted onto the shaft and requires a gear puller to remove, so I don’t see how it could be loose. Dave
