I was reading this article today about shooting the finish line in a race. I have done this instinctively a few times, not realizing I was following in Dennis Conner’s footsteps. The article mentions that you should avoid hitting the pin after finishing. My question is, if some part of the boat crosses the line, so you have finished, and then you touch the pin buoy, is it of no consequence or is there a penalty? Dave
