Can't do better than new blocks.  

In my case I had some mast sheaves that responded well to a flush with water 
and lube and the organizer sheaves actually were frozen with dirt and 
corrosion.  Their aluminum sheaves ride on bronze bushing on stainless axles.  
I simply took them apart, cleaned with kerosene and lubed them with grease and 
they were fine for over fifteen years.
