Hmmm.  Didn't think Loos gauges were terribly inaccurate.  Now I question
them.  Found this article:

Guess a good rule is to use the same gauge only to return your rig to
settings based on your experience on the water.

I might borrow a neighbor's gauge and compare it to mine.
