Unless you're cruising in Europe or UK (or a few other countries) you're not bringing 120V together to 240V. NA electrical grid is 120V.
And Marinco does make the 30amp male to 15amp female connector. They are also available from other companies as well for a lot less $. Search Amazon shore power pigtail ... make sure they are UL listed and make sure the 30 amp connection is a L5-30P. Also it's 15 amp max. The 20 amp connection (5-20P) has the neutral rotated 90 degrees.
