Brian,

I regret to tell you that the Keene family sold Edson about 4-5 years ago the
Chip Johns, formerly of Vanguard Boats. When I worked there about 12 years ago
we did have all the parts listed for various C&C yachts, but I’m not sure if
that database is still around. The website still lists the sailboat steering
data sheets Sailboat Steering Parts by Boat
<https://edsonmarine.com/sailboat-steering-data-sheets/#C> but that typically
deals with the model of pedestal, radial drive wheel or Quadrant, chain/wire,
and idler. Accessories such as pedestal guards, engine controls, instrument
pods, etc were dealer or manufacturer options and aren’t listed on the boat
model sheets.

As for “single bolt Edson pedestal feet”, are we referring to the fitting that
locates the pedestal guard on the cockpit? Those were either a hard plastic
with 2 hex bolts held captive in the fitting, OR the newer stainless guard
feet. When buying replacement parts you can try the Binnacle in Halifax that
lists the new style pedestal feet (same hole pattern as the plastic ones that
are not longer available)
https://us.binnacle.com/edson-310st-100-125-stainless-pedestal-feet-kit. In
Kingston, Marine Outfitters is a top notch supplier and an authorized Edson
dealer.

Chuck, regarding used parts, the truth of the matter is that any steering gear
that’s much older than 30-40 years old isn’t worth the savings vs. buying
something used. The pedestal guard feet keep the steel pedestal guard firmly
fixed to the deck. The guard can truly be a life saver in its role as a hand
hold in rough seas as well as protecting the steering gear from damage when
things go badly.

Try calling Edson the manufacturer. I've talked with them when I rebuilt my
pedestal. Also, the Chairman of Edson is William Keene, +15083534829 is his
number. Really nice guy and they have all the C&C specs.

Does anyone happen to know where someone in Kingston, Ontario can get used
sailboat parts, like single bolt Edson pedestal feet for his Edson wheel?

Thank,
