My RAQ3 does the exact same thing, requiring me to use @www.domain.com.
One way to check you have a RAQ3 is to apply the patches from:
http://www.cobalt.com/support/download/raq3.eng.html
(which you should already be doing anyway)
The RAQ3 patches wouldn't work on a RAQ2, since the RAQ2 uses a MIPS
processor, whereas the RAQ3 uses an AMD (Intel architecture).
