UPDATE to my last.

I have looked at the records file and it shows the entries for the
sec.domains I
can add new sec.reverse domains eg in-addr.arpa secondaries. the problem
seems to be in the adding of sec.domains.com entries and it seems the
ones I have added do not show up in the GUI no in the /etc/named/... directory

so there is a bug in the code that adds new "secondary name service for
domain"
entries.

Here is my records file extract

secondary - 212.172.154.0 194.162.224.17 24
secondary - callie.de 194.162.189.253 -
secondary - 1895.aircadets.net 194.162.224.17 - <<<<< this one. ******
secondary - golden-eagle.net 194.162.189.253 -
secondary - ip-prolink.co.uk 213.219.2.220 -

***** 1895.aircadets.net seems to have caused a barf in the GUI scripting
?? its been added into the records file but never been zone transfered ? so
never shows up in the /etc/named dir

am I looking at a bug or a ghost ??

Barry
