Hi Guys,
I have installed FileMaker Server for Linux on my Qube3 and it is doing the
serving thing fine, but shutdown is a problem.
The instructions say to use;
# chkconfig fmserverd on
to enable correct startup and shutdown of FileMaker Server, but as far as I
can determine "chkconfig" is part of Red Hat Linux 6.2 and hence not on the
Qube3.
As it stands, fmserverd starts when the Qube3 is booted so all I really need
to do is tell it to stop when a shutdown or reboot is requested. This can
be done at the command line by;
# fmserverd stop
How to I include this in the normal Qube3 shutdown or reboot process?
At the moment a shutdown terminates fmserverd without alerting clients and
without closing the database tables ... not good.
Cheers, Malcolm
