Look like the kernel was compiled without support for elf binaries.

You will need to compile and add elf support along with a.out if needed.

I assume you were using a pkg to upgrade the kernel, so not sure how you 
can resolve, unless the source is available with a configurable make 
file like Red Hat and other dist.
