The .po and .mo are files for i18n support. Assuming you don't use any [[]] tags in your package, you don't need them. The way they work is that you set up a .po that contains pkgName="ThisPackage" and so on and so forth. Then when you want something in your package to say "ThisPackage" you use [[pkgName]]. The .mo file is the actual one that gets read by i18n. You generate it from the .po using msgfmt. But as I said, unless you want to have multi-language support in your package during installation, you don't need either of these. If something's not listing correctly in the prepare section, you've probably got a misformatted packing_list file. I'll send you a basic package file. (I tried sending it to the list, but aparently attachments aren't allowed.) I have yet to see a manual with actual descriptions of how to use each tag. But most of them are self-explanitory. Hope this helps. -Mat

Com Subject: [cobalt-developers] Qube3 pkg Hell Hi Does anyone understand the Qube3 pkg system my pkg works except it doesn't list correctly in the prepare section or the installed software list, I've narrowed it down to the 2 files in pkginfo/locale/en .po seems to be unclear text but doesn't get read and the .mo file is sort of in clear text but not really but seems to be the file the info comes from. Any ideas, its annoying the hell out of me Gavin _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers
