Well, what I'm thinking is that if you don't change your sendmail.cf, you don't have to worry about the file structure differences; I think they're all in sendmail.cf. I seem to recall that sendmail will run with old .cf files. I know you won't gain some of the functionality of the new program, but if you learn the program first <smile> you should be able to install only what you want.
