I created a utility to import the /etc/named/records file to a RaQ550 for DNS record migration. I tested it with a records file from a RaQ 4, I have not yet used one from a RaQ2, RaQ3, or RaQXTR. I am hoping since the format did change that much over the product lines it will work with those as well. If you are going to use this with CMU I would suggest first turning off Automatic DNS Configuration under the Site Management => Edit Virtual Site Template. It should import all a, cname, mx, ptr, forwarders, zone transfer access, and soa records.
USE THIS UTILITY AT YOUR OWN RISK! IT IS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED! You must have CMU installed on the box for the script to work. You can download it at: ftp://ftp-eng.cobalt.com/pub/users/jeffb/cmu/beta/dnsImport usage: ./dnsImport: [records file] Report any problems you have to me, please include a copy of the records file. - Jeff Bilicki Sun Microsystems Inc. _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers
