DOS, cute ftp and wsftp work for me but not him, I have no firewall on the system.

If it works for you and not him, that would suggest its on his end, ask him
what FTP software he using, and walk him through a standard dos "ftp
<hostname>" login and see if it still hangs.

I have one client who is trying to ftp to his site but his ftp client logs
him in and just hangs. It work for me but not for him. Any ideas what it is?
is there a log file on the server i can look at?
