I don't care what they say, I decided to use IP based hosting and forgo name based hosting for the simple fact today someone doesn't need SSL, tomorrow they need it and when you use one site for one IP, it is easier to move the site from a server to another system since resolution will show that site no longer is tied to a specific server.

You would also run into issues with firewalls etc...
