Hi Guys, I have Remote Access VPN working, but I can't "discover" services. The ones which give me grief are AppleShare, Samba, Timbuktu, FileMaker, Apple Remote Desktop, and Retrospect. In most cases if I specify the host by IP all is well, but Apple Remote Desktop refuses to work as it can't determine the "status" of client machines.
Anyone know what the Qube3 PPTP software really is? Is it PoPToP? If so, any idea what version? I've been having a look at the PoPToP site and there is a known problem for versions <= 1.1.3 where Broadcasts don't make it to the VPN client. If the Qube3 is running a version of PoPToP <= 1.1.3 then its likely that my inability to "browse" is because Broadcasts don't make it to me over my VPN. [admin admin]$ rpm -qa | grep pptp base-pptp-capstone-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-glue-1.0.1-2 pptpd-1.0.1-C2 base-pptp-ui-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-zh_TW-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-zh_CN-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-ja-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-fr-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-es-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-en-1.0.1-2 base-pptp-locale-de-1.0.1-2 [admin admin]$ Looks like its pptpd-1.0.1-C2, but is it a "special" Cobalt version? Anyone tried upgrading? Cheers, Malcolm _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers
