Woo hoo - kudos to Brenton Leanhardt - he's the man!

He had asked me how much memory I was allocating to my guest VM... My machine
is RAM constrained (as in it has 1 GB), so I was only allocating 256 MB :o
Apparently I need a minimum of 512 MB ;) Oops!

Its installing just fine now :)

Thanks y'all for the help!

Scot

For what its worth, Alex Wood suggested I try koan with the -n option...

Result is the same...hangs on glibc-common :(

Darn :(

For starters (meaning before I put cobbler on the host), the host itself was
KOAN'd (with a --replace-self) from the same Cobbler server and therefore the
same glibc-common RPM. Without going into too much detail I have done a
--replace-self a few times and the host always seems to reinstall completely in
under 10 minutes.

I believe it is installing - the progress bar indicated 1% (fairly quickly) -
but took almost 3.25 hrs to reach 12%. I finally killed it when I installed
Cobbler on the host itself - and then attempted a KOAN VM install from that
host itself...

I could try to re-download the DVD ISO again. I considered that earlier too -
but didn't as the host seems to install OK using the same RPMs...

It sounds like an anaconda problem. At this point cobbler/koan should
be completely out of the equation. Is it downloading glibc-common or
actually installing? If it is downloading that might be an issue
because the install source is on the cobbler server, but if it is
installing, that is completely out of cobbler's hands. Maybe
glibc-common is bad on whatever media you imported the distro from?
