I was taking a stroll along Clear Creek Trail (parked near the Coors
grain tower off McIntyre, near CO-58) going to see if the red-tailed
hawk had returned to it's last years nest. I was pleasantly surprised
with a pair of ear tufts instead. A great horn owl is nesting in that
spot this year:

While on the walk I also came upon a couple of night heron, and a
cacophonous flock of 100+ red-winged blackbirds.
