At suppertime this evening (May 19) an Indigo Bunting (male) was on the
windowsill by my feeder. I also saw one there in the early morning on May 15. A
birder in Monte Vista reported one at her feeder on May 5. Same bird?? Now I
am watching for a female, but no luck so far, but the female is so drab that
she would be hard to spot! One year (about 1990), a female Indigo Bunting
definitely was in my yard in Alamosa at the time that a male was present.
